When a westbound-traveling vehicle on Highway 50 six miles east of Ice House Road crossed over the center line and drove into an eastbound-traveling vehicle, the passenger of the eastbound vehicle suffered neck injuries, spine injuries, and brain injuries, as well as several lacerations and contusions. The injuries left her with permanent pain and permanent short-term memory loss and chronic pain.
The defendant in this case was the driver of the westbound vehicle. However, the defendant’s liability insurance had a limit of $25,000. GJEL proceeded to file an underinsured motorist claim on behalf of the client to ensure she received an amount appropriate to the injuries she suffered.
