On November 6, 2012 William Kapell, 41, was riding his motorcycle when he was involved in a collision with a farm tractor turning across the road and attempting to enter a field.
Mr. Kapell was a father and avid motorcyclist who grew up in the San Jose, California area. His friends and family said he was a kind man who would give the shirt off his back to anyone.
About The Motorcycle Accident
Kapell was riding his motorcycle while traveling at approximately the 55 mph speed limit on eastbound Bruns Road, in Byron (Contra Costa County), when the tractor turned left in front of his motorcycle, causing an unavoidable collision.
Mr. Kapell tried to avoid the tractor but was unsuccessful and his wheel caught the tractor throwing him off of it.
He passed away from injuries sustained in the motorcycle crash.
